Heading to Oz Comic-Con 2024? Here’s everything you need to know about it!

Oz Comic-Con Brisbane is back this September! Do you and your kids enjoy watching movies, television shows and animations? Have you ever been tempted to dress up alongside your children, or perhaps meet the people who bring those long favoured characters to life? This September, make those daydreams a reality by taking the family to Oz Comic-Con Brisbane. Don’t worry if you’re not really into dress ups, there are plenty of cosplayers there to wow you and the kids with their amazing costumes and design features.

When and where to find Oz Comic-Con – Dates 14 and 15 September 2024

Across the weekend of the 14 and 15 September 2024 you can attend Oz Comic-Con in Brisbane with your family at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. Opening hours are 9.30am – 4.30pm both Saturday and Sunday. Parking is ample beneath the centre with varying prices ranging from $15-$35. Alternatively, you can catch the train in and make the 10-15 minute walk from South Brisbane Station. You also have options to come in via the City Cat or the Busway.

Adult and child-friendly events at Oz Comic-Con

Show your kids (and your own inner creative) some of the best examples of work to have evolved from the world of pop culture. Learn more about becoming an artist, illustrator, filmmaker, game designer or comic artist with workshops also being held in costume creation, animatronics, mask making, 3D printing, casting and illustrative design. There will be panels, actors, and a range of artists who work across comic, film and animation design sharing discussions and answering questions throughout the day. You may purchase autographs and/or photographs from your favourites with a long list of guests and individual pricing available at here.

How to get involved in cosplay with your kids

For those who would like to dress up and become fully immersed in the atmosphere, there are a number of events in which to be entered. Adults can get involved in the cosplay parade, or for the more serious, the championships. Kids can also get involved in an onstage parade where they can pose for photos disguised as their favourite characters.

Early bird single day pass $45 (aged 13+) /Early bird child day pass $23 (aged 5 – 12)
Early bird weekend pass $69.50 (aged 13+) / Early bird child weekend pass $32.50 (aged 5 – 12)

Family passes
Early bird family single day pass $99 (2 adults, 2 children)
Early bird family weekend pass $160 (2 adults, 2 children)

Collectors pass
Includes entry to Saturday and Sunday $125

VIP Pass
Includes $200 token credit and VIP queuing $399
